County Recorder's Official Record Search

Welcome to the County Recorder Official Record Search  System.
You may conduct a search for documents based on various criteria
and view detailed information regarding any particular document.

Here is a brief explanation and examples for the fields that are available for entry:

  • PARTY NAME

  • The name of the person or company that you are looking for. When entering a person's name, include at least the first letter of their first name to avoid extensive search results from last name only entries.

    Example: Lastname, Firstname
    Example: ABC Vendor
  • BEGINNING DATE

  • The first date you want your search to begin on.
Please enter the year as a 4-digit number.

    Example: 1/1/2000
  • ENDING DATE

  • The last date you want to conduct your search through.
Please enter the year as a 4-digit number.

    Example: 1/31/2000
  • DOCUMENT TYPE

  • The different types of documents that are filed within the system. Click on the box and a pull down menu will appear where you may scroll through the documents and select the exact type you would like to search for.
  • CFN Number

  • If you know the exact Clerk's File Number that you are looking for, enter it here. The number is broken into 2 parts separated by the letter R. There is no need to enter the R, just the 4-digit YEAR then the SEQUENCE number.
  • RECORDING BOOK/PAGE

  • If you know the Recording Book and Page where your document is recorded, you may enter them and browse through the documents located there to find the particular document you are searching for.
  • PLAT BOOK/PAGE

  • If you know the Plat Book and Page where your document is recorded, you may enter them and browse through the documents located there to find the particular document you are searching for. If the Plat PAGE is a whole number, add a zero to the end of it. If your PAGE includes a decimal, simply drop the decimal point. You may further refine your search by also providing the Block Number and/or Party Name if so desired.

    Example: PAGE 113 as 1130
    Example: PAGE 3.1 as 31
For Plat Book A enter 1000 as the book
For Plat Book B enter 2000 as the book
  • REFERENCE TO THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT

  • * Clerk's File Number - It can be any reference where the clerk's file number is listed referring to a previous document. Typically used for an assignment of mortgage recorded immediately after the mortgage or to refer to the original mortgage of a satisfaction of mortgage.
    * Rec Book/Page - Reference to a previous related document. Used in assignment or satisfaction of mortgage, satisfaction of judgment and amendments to uniform commercial code. This is the fastest way to find an assignment or satisfaction, if you know one exists.
    * Misc Reference - On Federal Tax liens, this refers to the amount of the lien (examples 1002.33) or in the case of a UCC there may be a reference to the address.
  • REFERENCE TO A LEGAL DESCRIPTION IN THE DOCUMENT

  • * Legal Description - This field can be used to filter documents with a legal if the document refers to a single lot or unit number. (Search example LOT 4 or UNIT 134A) This will be a SLOW search and should only be used if a query produces too many hits.
    * Subdivision Name - The convention used for the name typically has a non-abbreviated first word and all words after that are abbreviated, therefore, it is best to search for a subdivision like HAPPY ACRES as HAPPY A. You can view the responses to determine exactly how the subdivision is entered and proceed with a more exact search. Prior to 1989, it is always advisable to search by subdivision name since the plat book and page data was converted from the name and may not be exact due to duplicate names of subdivision.
    * Plat Book and Page - This can be used for a legal search for 1989 and later. It can be used for prior years but items may be missing.
    * Block - This can be used to filter either subdivision or Plat book and page searches. Be aware certain subdivisions may have lots but not blocks.
    * Township, range and section - Used for unplatted land. May not be accurate if the property contains multiples of any of the three.
